IATSE Local 80 was honored to host a panel discussion about the potential impacts of Artificial Intelligence on the film industry.
The response was incredible, and we welcomed over 300 guests at our stage and via Zoom from all motion picture crafts, including many IATSE members from across the US and Canada, British film workers and members of the DGA, WGA, SAG-AFTRA and Teamsters 399.
The panel was organized and moderated by Local 80 Executive Board member Philip Collins and our esteemed panelists were WGA board director, negotiator and screenwriter John August, Filmaker, WGA member, SAG-AFTRA member and SAG-AFTRA AI Advisor Justine Bateman and the co-founder of the Concept Art Association Rachel Meinerding.
We were delighted to receive additional assistance from industry partners Quixote, Chapman Leonard, Keslow Camera and SGPS Showrig.
Local 80 is proud to be a leader in bringing conversations and education to our members and the wider film community.
